As part of student marketing/design team, I created the mascot for Spark (formerly East Tennessee Technology Center). Spark connects people with disabilities to the adaptive technology tools and services they need to live with maximum independence and dignity.
The character was chosen to be a Salamander because the animal's unique abilities represent many of Spark’s principles. Salamanders can regenerate tails and limbs, symbolizing rebirth and renewal. They can also withstand fire, demonstrating incredible determination and resilience in the face of adversity. And Sparky is a native amphibian of East Tennessee.
Below is a proposal created by my team and I to elevate Spark's social media presence. As of now, the character is in use.
